Below, you will find all of our server rules.

Power Gaming

Power Gaming is the act of forcing your RP on others, or using an unrealistic action to gain an advantage in game.

Eg: You are sitting at Legion square minding your own business, when all of a sudden a player approaches you and engages in RP with you, the player then uses /me grabs arm and brakes it instantly. This would be Power Gaming as the player has not given you a chance to RP a response to either block or move from the attack.

Meta Gaming

Meta Gaming is the act of using an external source to gain an unfair advantage in game, whether it be through discord, twitch, or TikTok live.

Eg: You are in a discord call with your friend who is in another area of the map, when all of a sudden you are held at gunpoint and asked to hand over your hard earned cash, you then say to your friend over the discord call to come to your location to provide much needed support. This would be classed as Meta Gaming because you used an external source to change the outcome of an RP scenario.

Fail/Low quality RP

Fail RP or Low quality RP is acting in a manner that provides a low level of RP for all around you. This can be, but not limited to, doing unrealistic stunt jumps or falling from a height and not Rping or acting out your injuries.

Eg: You are in your vehicle cruising around the city, when all of a sudden you notice a rather large ramp, you then decide to take your car straight off the ramp causing your car to hit the ground and flip your vehicle, you then get out and walk away as if nothing happened. This would be classed as Fail/Low quality Rp due to the fact you didn’t behave in a realistic manner, like taking your car off a ramp at a great height which realistically you wouldn't do and acting like you received no injuries from the impact of the crash.

New Life Rule

If you die in Roleplay and respawn at Pill Box or any other hospital, you have to forget the last 30 minutes of your character's life. You cannot discuss your death with any other player or mention that you died, you can only say to them that all you remember is waking up in hospital and have no idea how you got there, other players involved just before your death can not discuss it either, all they can say is someone they knew died.

If you had any beef with a player and they shoot you down or beat you up and you bleed out then respawn at the Hospital, you both must forget your beef as it is now settled due to your death, and also vice versa.

Eg: you and a player have been having issues back and forth when it final comes to a head and you both square off, he then shoots you down or kicks sevens bells out of you and you end up bleeding out, you then respawn at hospital due to the lack of medical intervention, all issues and beefs are now forgotten from both parties, and you must also forget the last 30 minutes of any RP you had.

IC and OOC (In Character/Out Of Character)

When in game you must stay IC at all times, even if another player is speaking OOcly, do not react, just continue your RP and try to keep the RP going for yourself and others. Record any rule breaks and report them to an admin so they may pull the person out of the scenario or speak to them at a later date to deal with the rule break.

Eg: You are at the bank to cash in a job receipt, when a player comes in complaining about an admin or an issue he had with one of our scripts, despite your efforts to stay IC, the player continues to speak OOcly. This is breaking the rules and the person who breaks the rule will be dealt with accordingly.

Salary Farming

Salary farming is when you clock on duty and do other activities that isn't part of your job, Such as but not limited to, robbing stores, mining, house robberies, drug selling, door dash, car chopping or hiding somewhere and going AFK.

Salary farming is not allowed, and anyone caught salary farming will be dealt with accordingly.

Stunt Jumping

Stunt jumping in the city is not allowed, this includes jumping off bridges or ramps whilst being pursued or pursuing. If anyone is caught stunt jumping they will be subject to punishment as this act is extremely unrealistic and will also fall under Fail RP/Low Quality RP and Fear RP. Accidentally crashing and falling off a bridge or being pushed off will not fall under this rule as it's beyond your control, all we ask is you RP correctly as falling in a vehicle from a great height would cause serious injury.

Eg: You are driving around the city and decide you fancy jumping off a building or off a bridge, or you are being pursued by the police or you are pursuing and you decide to take the jump to try and evade or catch a suspect. This would be classed as Stunt Jumping and this is not allowed.

Robbing Players

It is ok to rob another player, however you must have a valid reason to do so, robbing them just for the sake of it will not be allowed as this would fall under Fail RP/Low Quality RP. There is no need to steal their ID, driver licence, or hunting licence as these items will not benefit you in any way.

Fear RP

Fear RP is defined as acting in a manner that completely disregards your character's safety. When RPing you need to act like your character's life matters as if you would in real life.

Eg: You are sitting on top of mount chiliad, when you decide to take your character over the edge just for the fun of it, knowing well that a fall from that height would be dangerous and life threatening. This would fall under Fear RP as you have no care for your character's life.

Death Matching

Death Matching is the act of attacking or killing another player without an IC reason

Eg: You are sitting at the pier fishing, when a player comes up to you and attacks, stabs or shoots you for no reason, this would be classed as DeathMatching.

Death Matching is not allowed, and can result in a ban from the server and Discord.

Vehicle Death Matching

Vehicle Death Matching is the same as Death Matching but with a vehicle.

Eg: You are walking down the street, and someone decides to run you over with no IC reason.

If a vehicle runs you down by accident, then it is ok, but if they decide to either reverse or turn around to finish you off, then the above rule will apply.

Vehicle Death Matching is not allowed and can result in a ban from the server and Discord.

Combat logging

Combat Logging is defined as logging off in the middle of a gun fight/fist fight, avoiding an Rp scenario you aren't enjoying or logging off to avoid being arrested.

Eg: You are in the middle of a high speed pursuit when you notice you tyres have popped, which is causing your vehicle to lose control and eventual hit a tree rendering your vehicle worthless, you then decide to log off just before the cops get out their vehicles to avoid losing all the money you stole or items. This would fall under combat logging and could also fall under Fail RP.

Cheating

Cheating on DropCity RP is not allowed at all and if any player is found to be cheating, they will be banned from the server and removed from the discord.

Eg: Using any form of aim assist software, exploiting bugs to gain an unfair advantage, using player IDs to see players through walls or objects, or using or exploiting money glitches. Any of these acts can and will get you banned from the server and removed from the discord.

OOC Corruption (Out Of Character)

OOC corruption is the act of using OOC information in game to gain an unfair advantage or plan out a full scenario with others then bring them to game without official approval.

All RP scenarios must be natural and organic and not be planned ahead of time, as this ruins the fun of RP.

Eg: You spend all night planning out a full heist with your friends and discuss exactly how the RP scenario is going to go, even down to who you are kidnapping and who you are going to kill. This is classed as OOC Corruption as you are not letting the RP scenarios play out naturally and you are intentionally controlling the outcome of the scene.

Store Robberies

When attempting to rob a store, you dont need a hostage, however, it is advised to help guarantee a safe passage.

Bank Robberies

When attempting a bank robbery you must have 2 or more hostages before you can even begin to rob the bank, this will give you leverage with the police and provide you safe passage after the robbery. Failure to follow this rule can result in a punishment from the admin team, so it's important to follow the rules.

Robbing Government Employees

It is ok to rob government employees, however you must have a valid RP reason to do so, robbing just for the sake of it will not be allowed as this would fall under Fail RP/Low Quality RP. If a government employee is downed due to a fire fight, you can’t inventory wipe them, as most items in their inventory will not be beneficial to you. Ammo is ok, 1 weapon is ok, vehicle keys are ok and cuffs are ok, but stealing their badge or ID or other police items is not allowed. When you have downed an officer please bear in mind that other officers will be closing in, so hanging around after you have taken the necessary items would put you in danger of being shot by other officers and would fall under Fear RP or Fail RP.

Characters

Every character created in DropCity RP is unique and cant have any relation to any of your other characters.

Eg: You are on your main character and have beef with another players character, you then decide to play on your other character. You cant then continue that beef as your other character would have zero knowledge of the issues from your main.

Every character you create has its own story and has no connection to any other character you create.

You are not allowed to transfer any assets or cash to another one of your characters, if caught doing this, you will be subject to punishment and possibly banned.
